A beautiful poem by a GOO (Grandmother of an Omphalocele baby)

Precious little baby with your O

Your journey so hard and your healing so slow

You were sent from heaven above

Into this family for us to love

Breathe in the air that gives you life

Breathe for today

Breathe for tonight

Just keep Breathing until morning light

Your mommy and daddy love you so much

Today's a new journey to have you to touch

Your tiny little hands and your tiny little feet

Little O baby so soft and so sweet

You were carried so softly - like wings on a dove

Into our hearts with such joy and love

Tomorrow's a new day, a new journey to fulfill

So fight our little O baby, Fight with all of your will!

Written by Kim Hull Minyard

Dedicated to her daughter, Christy, and her son-in-law, Pat McGinnis.

They are currently expecting their first baby boy, due in May 2014, who will be born with a large omphalocele.
